FractionalExchange.com is a global online owner-to-owner exchange network for owners of upscale vacation homes and fractional properties. Owners of vacation homes (standalone and/or fractional) may now make the most of their ownership by exchanging usage with other like-minded owners. Exchanging using FractionalExchange.com is a simple process — our members simply list their property using the FractionalExchange.com website and then begin messaging other members with exchange proposals. As most properties are vacant most of the time, exchanging is a simple process and need not be simultaneous, resulting in easy-to-arrange exchanges.

Exchanging is a great way to explore new destinations — it’s fun and can save the typical family thousands of dollars in lodging costs.

FractionalExchange.com is based upon a simple concept: the internet has proven that people want to connect efficiently and directly with others. Facebook and Twitter are examples of this. FractionalExchange.com enables like-minded people to connect for the purposes of exchanging use of upscale properties.

We consider our company a “green” high-tech business, promoting efficient use of vacation properties.

Developed in 2008 and 2009, FractionalExchange.com officially launched on June 28th, 2009.

Management: Evan L. Julber, CEO

Ownership: Sierra Holdings, Incorporated, an Oregon Corporation with offices in Bend, Oregon, USA. Servers are located in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Membership

For one low annual fee ($250 or as negotiated with homeowner associations), members may initiate, receive and arrange an unlimited amount of exchanges. In the event a member cannot arrange an exchange, the second year of membership is free.

FractionalExchange.com works with the Homeowners Associations at select resorts, whereby ownership includes membership at FractionalExchange.com for all owners. Reduced rates are available. By involving all owners at a resort, internal exchange needs are greatly simplified, easing time and costs associated with rotation administration for the resort and the HOA.

Locations

Beach, metropolitan, mountains, ski, lake, yacht, motorhome. Worldwide. By listing their properties, our members decide our locations. There are no geographic limits and our members are not limited to resorts and locations that we determine. Listings must have an acceptable “component of exchange” for inclusion on FractionalExchange.com.

History

FractionalExchange.com was initiated in September, 2008. Three months were dedicated to developing a business plan and rough website layout, and actual programming of the website from scratch began in January, 2009. The website was launched June 28th, 2009. FractionalExchange.com was mentioned in Sunset Magazine’s July, 2009 issue and in August, 2009, Paul Nabor was hired as Director of Sales.
