This house was built with the surf of Jeffreys Bay, in mind. Every room overlooks the break at Supertubes.

Imagine waking up in the morning, the sun rising over the bay and the mountains to the Northwest. You look directly from your bed to the surf break below.

Winter finds the swell stacked up like corduroy as far as you can see. Hot coffee in front of the fire in the in the living room. Which break to surf… Supers? Tubes? Point? Ahhh… the choices we must make.

Surf for a couple of hours and the chef will have breakfast waiting. There is an outdoor shower (with dual heads) and the steambath has been heated and awaits. All the little luxuries have been carefully planned. There is an indoor board storage room and wet suit dryer.

This House is the finest accommodation in Jeffreys Bay. All the suites have ensuite bathrooms, hairdryers, organic shampoos and soaps.

Gather in the Wave watch room on the mezzanine level in the evening and have a glass of wine by the fire as you watch the sun set and the surfers catch the last waves of the day.

Jeffreys Bay, South Africa is legendary, and for good reason. It is simply one of the best right hand point breaks in the world. Jeffreys Bay offers up some of the best surf on the planet and “Dolphin House” is directly in front of it. But J-Bay is more than just surf.

There is a variety of unique things to do and see in the Eastern Cape. The town of Jeffreys is friendly and world famous for the seashells that wash up on the beach with each high tide. Migrating whales, dolphins in the surf, and great beaches all add to the Jeffreys experience.

40 minutes away you can visit Cape St. Francis home of Bruces Beautys. When the swell is right, Bruces is one of the best right handers you will ever surf. St. Francis is a wonderful little town with its whitewashed and thatched houses.

The Eastern Cape is home to some great game reserves all within 2 hours drive. Addo Elephant Park is home to over 300 elephants. Both Shamwari and Lalibella offer 5 star accommodation and Big 5 game viewing in private Land Rovers. Capetown is a 6 hour drive. A truly dynamic city it rates up there with Sydney, Vancouver, and San Francisco as a great waterfront city to explore. The vineyards that surround Capetown offer charm, great accommodation and dining. While surfing is the main draw card for a trip to J Bay, South Africa, there are a number of other activities in the area. Jeffreys has both a 9 hole golf course and a tennis club. There is a new gym downtown that has a wide range of workout equipment and an indoor pool. Spinning classes are also available.

High tide brings a new collection of sea shells to the beach and there is an interesting shell museum in town. If you want to try your hand at sandboarding the dunes just outside of Jeffreys Bay offer some challenging hills. Sandboard rentals are available in town.

For those who want a relaxing day, the Aqua Spa can provide massage and various other treatments. If you prefer we can also arrange for a masseuse to come to the house.

The Eastern Cape is filled with surprises so leave a few days for exploring the Garden Route on your way to Capetown.

No trip to Africa would be complete without enjoying the incredible wildlife viewing. You wake up at dawn, hot coffee waiting and then join your guide and tracker for a 3 or 4 hour game viewing drive in open landrovers.
