This is a very well appointed One bedroom Penthouse Condo in the heart of Downtown Bend Oregon.  Featuring Hardwood Floors, Granite Countertops, and beautiful tile throughout.  There is a fully equipped stainless steel kitchen, a gas fireplace and Flat Panel TVs in the living room and bedroom, and a luxurious king-sized bed, a large bathroom and master closet.

Located just upstairs from Typhoon! Restaurant, Bo’s Resto-Bar & Lounge, a Spa and The Bend Downtown Athletic Club, you may never leave the building.  However you are just steps away from some amazing attractions such as the historic Tower Theatre, The New Oxford Luxury Boutique Hotel, and a number of fantastic galleries, restaurants and stores.  Beautiful Drake Park, which borders the Deschutes River, is just steps away, and the farmers’ market as well as concerts in the park are seasonal must-sees.

In addition to all the shopping and restaurants right outside your building’s front door, visit The Old Mill Shopping District, which is just minutes away, and enjoy your favorite outdoor activities, including – Hiking, Rock Climbing, Road and Mountain Biking, Art Walks, Fishing, Golf, Horseback Riding, Still and Whitewater Kayaking, Boating, Tubing, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Skiing (Downhill and Cross Country, Snowboarding, snowshoeing, Snowmobiling, Dog Sled Tours and all the festivals that happen year round in Bend.

Fantastic dining experiences are around every corner, and as a Bend local I’d recommend quite a few.

“Staccato” is located in an old brick firehouse with a warm and trendy atmosphere – and their northern Italian cuisine is out of this world.
Of course, for a touch of old Bend and some down-home cooking, “The Pine Tavern” can’t be beat. Located right on the edge of Drake Park this restaurant has one of the best views around.
“Typhoon!” has excellent Thai food, and if you’re in the mood for fresh guacamole prepared right at your table then you have to visit “La Rosa.”

A little about Downtown-
Shops, businesses and wonderful restaurants line both sides of Bend’s two main streets, Wall and Bond. Many of the buildings have facades dating back to the early 1900’s, and new storefronts compliments the old, blending in with amazing harmony.

Things to do downtown-
Bend’s Saturday market is located across from the Library between Wall and Bond and offers unique Central Oregon products. If shopping’s not your cup of tea, downtown Bend also has outdoor entertainment at Drake park several nights each week and there are plenty of theaters and art galleries to explore as well.

For an interactive history lesson, just walk the streets of the Historic District. Many of these homes were built by the founders of Bend: railroad tycoons, the owners of the Shevlin-Hixon Mill, the founders of the newspaper, and Bend’s first political figures once lived in these homes.

With plaques along the sidewalk that describe each home’s history, you could easily spend an afternoon walking, learning, and enjoying the beautiful architecture.

Bend rests in the very center of Oregon, a state with a varied yet amiable climate.  To the east is a desert-like plateau and to the west are the Cascade Mountains and a large pine forest leaving Bend in the middle with the best of both worlds.  Bend is an area of diverse geological wonders.  The lava fields of Newberry Crater and the wonderous rock formations of Smith Rock and the Pallisades, are small examples of the region’s geological diversity.  Temperatures are mild with dry sunny days and cool nights.

Ski and snowboard in the winter or hike in the summer on Mount Bachelor’s many splendid trails.  Visit downtown Bend for theatres, shops, art galleries, and restaurants.  Enjoy live music venues or have a beer at one of six micro-breweries.

There are several good places to eat in The Old Mill District.  Here’s a list of eating Establishments in the Old Mill.  http://www.theoldmill.com/dining.php
Shopping is BIG at the Old Mill District.  Here’s a link to current stores http://www.theoldmill.com/shopping.php

Here is information on the concerts held at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.  Some of the past performances by top named musicians include Chris Isaak, John Hyatt, Lyle Lovett, Coldplay, Garrison Keillor and A Prairie Home Companion, Susan Tedeschi, Taj Mahal, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Pink Martini, Cubanismo, The Beach Boys, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, The Doobie Brothers and Brooks & Dunn.  Here’s a link to up coming concerts.  http://www.bendconcerts.com/  The cheapest tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District.  Online purchases are more expensive in my experience.

An unadvertised event is drifting the Deschutes River through the Old Mill.  The river can be packed on a hot summer weekend.  Regal Cinemas has a 16 screen complex for your viewing pleasure. regalcinemas.com Whether you like indoor activities or outdoor activities Bend’s Old Mill District has something to offer everyone.

This quaint mountain town of Bend, has definitely bloomed into the most stylish and sophisticated city in Central Oregon.
