Master Captain Alan Tappan, principal guide, is the founder of Alaska Legacy Fish Camp. A life long fisherman, our business is the realization of his boyhood dream. From carefully selecting the perfect property, to designing and building our delightful guest cabins, Alaska Legacy was created with Alan’s enthusiasm, dedication and passion for fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. A local guide since 1991, Alan is one of the most experienced professionals on the peninsula. He is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and is permitted by Alaska State Parks, The U.S. Forest Service and The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.
When it comes to Alaska fishing lodges, look no further than Alaska Legacy Fish Camp. Set apart from the other Alaska fishing lodges, you and a couple friends or family can enjoy some of the best Alaska fishing and tours amidst fantastic scenery and have our deluxe riverside lodge to yourselves.
Alaska Fishing is exciting at Alaska Legacy Fish Camp. Unlike many Alaska fishing lodges we offer Alaska fishing packages, we are conveniently accessed by car from Anchorage, and only take groups of 6 or less. So, whether you are fishing Alaska for record salmon, trout and halibut or wanting combination Alaska fishing and tour packages you found the ultimate small group AK lodge to do so.
Great Alaska tours are easy options for our AK lodge guests. Want to see glaciers calving into the ocean or how about flying in a float plane to watch bears fishing for salmon? Museums, native cultures and local art as well as spectacular scenery abound in the state and national parks, wildlife refuges, and marine reserves on the Kenai Peninsula and are waiting for you to experience them.
Our fishing Alaska lodge offers you comfortable double occupancy guest cabins with private bathrooms and unobstructed river and wildlife refuge views. You’ll have 24/7 access to the fully equipped mini lodge where you can store, prepare, and enjoy meals or simply relax and soak up the spectacular scenery. Several restaurants, markets, and many other amenities are also available in nearby Soldotna.
Fishing and Alaska lodge guests use our national park-like elevated walkways that conveniently lead to a lovely setting and prime Kenai River salmon and trout fishing access.
