Fabulous "Old Tahoe" Lake View home in Brockway

Old Brockway is one of the most beautiful communities at Lake Tahoe, reminiscent of Carmel, situated on Stateline Point below a Diamond Head-like promontory with lookout, on the north shore. 

The house is a classic 1930’s Old Tahoe style, one story built around a courtyard, with an open beam pine-paneled great room with massive stone fireplace at one end and french doors leading to a 40 foot deck overlooking the lake on the other, with hot tub at one end and dining pavillion at the other.  Three bedrooms (2 queen beds, one queen futon with bunk beds), four baths plus a den with queen hide-a-bed and flatscreen TV, full laundry and a private garden with patio and stone barbecue. Updated cook’s kitchen, and all rustic in a very luxurious way.

Lake Tahoe’s most spectacular sandy beach, Speedboat beach, is a two block walk, fronted by stunning older mansions.  Our beautiful lakeside community pool (heated year round by hot springs), tennis courts, pier and clubhouse with workout room and saunas, are a short one-block walk at the water’s edge. The house includes use of a pair of kayaks and a pair of mountain bikes.  It is the classic Tahoe experience at its best.

Two blocks east is the historic Cal-Neva Lodge, once owned by Frank Sinatra, and other casino resorts that offer good food and entertainment on weekends, as well as one of the Lake’s finest restaurants, Soule Domain.  The town of Kings Beach is five blocks west, with a full range of shopping, dining and summer attractions.  Two dozen golf courses (including Brockway’s own, that hosted the first Crosby) are within a half hour’s drive, and skiing is ten minutes away at Northstar and Diamond Peak, with Alpine, Squaw and Heavenly within a half hour drive.  It is Lake Tahoe perfection.
